YouTube Recording Project

Partly as a bit of fun (but also to help increase my web presence), I have recently started a little project recording songs that we used to sing at assembly at school. There are loads that people will be familiar with from the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s. I’ve been playing them on piano and uploading to YouTube with lyrics included so that they might be picked up by today’s school teachers and used as a kind of retro-assembly experience – the teacher in the corner of the room playing piano and the kids reading the lyrics written in chalk on a blackboard.

Anyway, I’ve got 11 songs recorded so far, and you can see them on my channel HERE. But, here’s a little taster one – the most recent that I recorded called ‘The Ink Is Black, The Page Is White’. It’s a song with multiple positive messages about education and racial equality. In my opinion, it’s worth remembering and singing along for that reason alone!
