There have been a lot of people showing up to their music lessons streaming with colds this week. Unfortunately, this risks spreading viruses not only to me but also to anyone else who comes in the room for music lessons that day (or anyone else who touches the piano / keyboard etc). With this in mind, if you (or your child) are really suffering with a viral or bacterial infection, please cancel your lesson. If this cancellation is less than 24 hours before your lesson then, yes, you will unfortunately forfeit the fee for that session, but rather that than spread the infection… and, to be honest, you’re not going to get much out of a music lesson anyway if you’re full of cold!!
When I have a cold I always let my pupils know that there’s a risk that they could catch it, and waive the fee for any lesson that they would like to cancel in these circumstances. And, of course, students and parents never pay for a lesson that I have had to cancel, no matter what the reason.
This week is a pretty full one again. But, there are one or two lesson slots available to those who would like to book in a session. See below:
